This was an amazing dining experience. The best I've ever had, the people are really inviting and just super nice. The food is the best. I got biscuits and gravy and in my opinion its better then the denver biscuit company. My husband got their Jan's Special and omg it was soooo good. Thank you all for an amazing breakfast

Went here because Rock City Cafe was closed… I should have just not eaten breakfast. The only good thing was the sausage patties. And the waitress threw the straws when we asked for them

I went in today to apply as a server. I also decided to sit down an eat as a customer. I have psychic abilities and one thing I can say is no. I withdrew my application and left. I have never have experienced the feeling I felt there it made my stomach turn.

Finally tried this place and it was so good. We missed breakfast by a few minutes so will definitely be back to try. The lunch was great and the staff was amazing. Can’t wait to try breakfast.

A hidden gem. My wife and I came here for lunch and were not disappointed. The place reminded me of an older diner that I went to as a kid. As soon as we got seated, we were waited on, ordered drinks, and was told about the daily specials that they had. As soon as they said them I was torn on what I wanted to eat. Home made meat loaf or the chicken fried stake, 🤔. I was so torn. The waitress came back and I decided to go with my original choice, the chicken fried stake. My wife had a grilled cheese with crispy bacon, and fries. Neither one of us was disappointed. Her grilled cheese came out perfect, and her fries were delicious (I sneaked one to try). My chicken fries came out and was covered in gravy (the waitress asked how I wanted it) along with the mashed potatoes. It also did not disappoint. Hard to find a good chicken fry. It was yummy! I asked the waitress if it was homemade and she said yes. Then there were the pies, oh the choices….. After a long decision and a recommendation from the waitress, I went with the banana cream pie. It was very tasty but, I could have had a bigger piece.

Overall, the place cozy, food was excellent, and the service was on point. Just a great experience for the first time coming here. Little on the pricy side but, what isn’t these days. We are already making plans to come try the breakfast!
You could tell there were a lot of regulars there and a lady and a couple came in right when we were getting ready and she said this was her go to place. I can see why.

Hey look at that! I just paid for Sheldon's inflation (see picture of receipt). I won't be back to do it again.

Thats a first for me, & I've been around awhile. I know for a fact that I have always paid for MY OWN INFLATION. I would really, really love to know how much "inflation" Sheldon gets annually and if he/she reports it to the IRS, hmmmmmm.

As for the food.....too salty. 😝

February 2024 Just like the 5 Stars above, food - service - atmosphere, all 5 Starts. best ever home cooked meals, fast and courteous service, and a delicious meal. The daily specials are a real treat, and a full plate of heaven. Be sure to have the Open Faced Turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce on the side. 5 Thumbs Up again!!

What's not to like about a great comfort food and exceptional staff restaurant. Daily specials willl blow you away, prices are all reasonable, and portion sizes are immense. Bring your appetite and enjoy a great local restaurant where breakfast is served all day on Saturdays. owner operated and is there to greet and help everyday. 5 Thumbs Up!

Old timey diner feel. We had the Reuben and BLT. Amazing sandwiches. Cole slaw and potato salad were excellent. I wanted to try soooo many things out on our first visit. They brought me homemade green chili to try, which was the bomb and then I sampled the gravy. The service we received was phenomenal. We'll be back next weekend and I'm excited to try the breakfast and lots more. Oh, the chocolate pie was divine and you can taste how everything is homemade.

This is my very favourite greasy spoon diner in town. It really is old world. Fantastic service. The servers have no idea who you are, but they make you feel like you’re known there for ages. Try their SOS, it really is something else. Denver omelette is tiptop as well.

Yep, this is the best breakfast you're going to get! All meals in our four person party were tremendous and the service was even better. We enjoyed a very relaxed atmosphere with clean tables and generous portions. We shared one pancake for four people and everyone enjoyed it with their other items. I've never seen a cook flip a pancake with two spatulas. The serving staff makes the experience memorable.

Old school diner atmosphere. Breakfast is on point. Some of the best chicken fried steak I’ve had. Eggs cooked perfectly. And the home fries are heavenly! Placed was packed and for good reason. Staff was running to keep up with the crowd but still friendly and attentive. Can’t recommend highly enough. Can’t wait to try lunch.

This place screams "classic diner". They have fabulous pancakes.

I would encourage them to consider keeping some alternative meat choices on hand that aren't pork based. I don't personally eat it and was unable to find an alternative on the menu. Just a suggestion, though. Everything we ordered was made perfectly!

This is where I go when I want comfort food for breakfast or lunch. Sheldon's has been around as long as I can remember and never fails to satisfy with home fries, chicken fried steak and eggs for breakfast or an open faced sandwich with gravy for lunch. Servers are always friendly and personable. I have never been disappointed here.

Went expecting a hand battered chicken fried steak and it was prefab. I also ordered a side of hash browns and when I took my first bite the potatoes were cold and not cooked thoroughly. Our waitress was good but another saw that I did not eat the food and I explained if I knew the steak was prefab that I would have chosen something else.I told her that the potatoes were not cooked and I did not want something remade as my partner was nearly finished with her meal. She took the food and did not do anything further. Biscuits and gravy were average but edible.

You will not find better food or better staff than Sheldon's. I go every Saturday and have breakfast. Best breakfast I have found in the springs. The burger is also awesome. Had it for lunch today.

Found this nice little hole in the wall to catch lunch before heading to seven falls for a nice hike during our family vacation… I got the junior burger with bacon and an over easy egg and it was delicious!! The service and food was just GREAT overall! and Alicia was a FANTASTIC server and made our experience that much better! Thank you Alicia 🙂

Sheldon's on north Nevada is great. The staff is great and the food and coffee is always hot and delicious. To me and my family think that they have the best biscuits and gravy in Colorado Springs and we have tried a lot of other restaurants. Next time I go I will definitely add a picture of what we get.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Just the simple Jr. burger (normal size burger). I had it with L/T/O, mayo and ketchup, swiss cheese and cooked medium. Absolutely delicious. Very quick and friendly staff to top it off

I was brought to Sheldon's by a great friend who had not dined there before. We were both blown away! Incredible portion size and great selection of comfort food! I had an amazing Reuben! The hamburgers were enormous! My buddy had the chicken fried chicken... Everything was delicious and affordable. I loved our waitress as well. Super friendly staff, iconic establishment... You gotta try it!

Service excellent, food was good (bacon especially) and came out fast. Really disappointed with the sign that said no one wants to work anymore. Sounds like a bitter owner. Maybe if you paid more or offered incentives, benefits or perks you might not have so much trouble. But go ahead and make excuses for when your service is slow. Plenty of other options in the area to go to than a sad owner who doesn’t know how to hustle.
